The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests on floors that were bare They are also adept at cleaning dog hair. However, they do have a few flaws however, which prevent them from being our top option. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to become stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate rooms with lots of people well during our tests. It also doesn't have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a great deal particularly if your office or home has a lot of unfinished floors and you want to save some money. Additionally, it's quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely autonomously refill and empty its base station and boasts an industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, offering an intuitive mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only drawback is that the X40 still a loud unit. This can be a problem in mornings before work or at night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive, although it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are similarly capable and look better. If you're willing some more volume and some extra cost, this is a very capable two-in-one that should satisfy most people.

It has a multifunction dock which automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and fills up the water tank, as well as washes and dries mop pads.

The app comes with a variety of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's good at vacuuming, but is more prone to getting caught on low thresholds and is a bit more noisy than the other top robotic vacuums we've tested. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that can't be used as a bin for emptying.
